| I am interested in a simple countdown timer software that I can use on my Jornada 728 in the range of 5 or 10 min down to zero and that can remind the previous used value in order to have a very simple restart with the push of a button only. It would be great if that would work also on Windows Mobile. Any recommendation please? |

| Probably HPC Timer would be a good choice. You can set the time to whatever you want and count down from it... |

Thank you Rich!!!
Not very popular this HPC Timer on the internet. Is it this one http://www.tucows.com/preview/69267?
Edit: It looks that I have been sent to a completely other program (ExerciseRoutine ). Sorry, have you got a link for HPC Timer? Is it freeware, is it a paid software? Edited by arlex 2014-01-19 7:35 PM

CE Geek thank you for the hint. I have been looking myself on the server, but for a reason I did not manage to find it. In the zip file, there are pairs of exe files for arm, mips and sh processors. If I click on the HPCTimer.ARM.exe I get the message "Cannot find the HPC Timer.arm or one of its components. Make sure the path and the filename are correct and that the required libraries are available."
Clicking on the HPCTimer.ARM30.exe nothing happens. I expect that the downloaded files are OK.
So kindly ask you to give me the good advice about which exe file to use and what to expect. Thank you!
Edit: Delta Timer is a good simple solution for WinMob 6.5 but does not work on Jornada. Edited by arlex 2014-01-21 8:48 PM

| HPCTimer.ARM30.exe requires the H/PC 2000 versions of mfcce300.dll and olece300.dll. HPCTimer.ARM.exe requires the H/PC Pro versions of mfcce211.dll and olece211.dll. Those are also available in the Download Centre:

| Strange that the hpctimer.arm.30.exe didn't work on his 728 as it was. Unless he has copied an unusual coredll.dll to his machine overwriting the original or one of the mfcce drivers. |

| Well, many thanks to both of you!!!
Just to prove your theory, Rich, I have performed a hard reset on my J728 and after that the behaviour with both exe files is the same.
I haven't tested yet HPCTimer.ARM.exe with the alternative mfcce211.dll and olece211.dll, but will do it soon. Thanks again! |

| Arlex, just to make sure...I just performed a hard reset on my MP900. I then downloaded the hpctimer.arm.30.exe and put it on a CF card and then stuck it in my Mobilepro. It ran fine.
So...couple of things you need to do.
1. Do a fresh download again...you may have gotten a corrupt zip file.
2. If that doesn't work, run executability check on the app and see what it says...
This is very perplexing and strange... |

I have done it twice, I will do that again with a checksum verification.

Will do that tomorrow probably and get back to you. Thanks again! |

This may be the biggest mystery we have yet to solve!
Absolutely right, Rich, and we are going deeper and deeper....:- )
The checksum verification of the downloaded file showing OK, but the file does not run even on another J720 after hard-reset.
But I have found another file, much smaller, that installs and works ok here: http://hpcsoftware1.yolasite.com/index-of-all-files.php
Thank you all for the great support! |

I did not know that, but so much the better, it is a pro's site, isn't it?! So thank you twice....
The file is hpctimer.zip size 7038 Kb located under Clocks, Timers, & Chronology Tools |
