Hi there,

Does anyone have any advise using ftpsvr? http://www.hpcfactor.com/scl/details.asp?id=157&page=details

I've gotten it working on my device, but there are some things I would like to do that don't seem to work

* Authentication with a user name and password

* Change from the root folder to a specific folder accessible in FTP.

Is there a better program then ftpsvr out there to do Windows CE FTP? Are there any ways to implement this with the ftpsvr already?

Thanks!

Victor

From the developer's readme.txt file included with the program:

"This FTP server application has no user authentication mechanisms.
So any user connecting to this server can access to ftp executing
machine. Be careful of unexpected access to your machine and your
data."

Could you recommend a different software? Also, I would like to change the Default Directory so that the person doing FTP in has limited visibility into the directory tree.

There are several FTP client apps for CE devices, but I'm not aware of any other FTP server apps for CE devices. Maybe there's another member who is. Anyone?

I'd like the ftp server to be very lightweight, I don't think I need a very intricate software that I would need to pay for. Both of these are paid application.

I have my solution

https://github.com/mooware/mooftpserv

This is likely the best FTP server out there I have found. MIT License, and you get source code. Build it in Visual Studio (2008 for Windows CE version is what I did), find the executable in the directory. Was able to change default directory, authentication (have to modify source code but it isn't too hard). It can act as a standalone application, or you can reference the built dll as a library. I'm excited about it, just kind of ran into it in a Google search.

Thanks for the help everyone
