So, I was looking online, and they seem to have a newer 7 inch mini laptop called One-Netbook One Mix.
Made by ONE-NETBOOK Technology.

One Mix spec:

CPU: Atom x5-Z8350
RAM: 8GB
SSD: 128GB

https://www.xiaomitoday.com/one-netbook-one-mix-pocket-laptop-transf... (English site)
https://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/column/hothot/1135574.html (Japanese site, better actual images of the device + comparison with GPD Pocket)

What timing....

I have one of these on the way to me now....

That's cool. I have seen the GPD Pocket for about 50,000 JPY + in Akihabara the other day.

That's pretty good price....

When I receive the One Mix Yoga, I'll be able to do a side by side with it and my Pocket and my Gemini PDA....

Have watched that one along with his other ones on them....

They're OK in general, but he's actually not that sophisticated as you'd expect about these little mobile computers...surprised at some of his incorrect comments or understanding about how things work.

Ha, ha.

I'll be much interested in your opinion about the slower cpu of the Yoga. I don't need a lot of power--word processing, browsing, email.

Because I really like its form factor more than the Pocket 2's, especially the pointer.

When do you expect delivery?

Jake

We’re on same page regarding liking the One Mix form factor over the Pocket even though Pocket is faster.

I have a feeling that for every day light usage, the One Mix will perform just fine.

To be clear to all, I do really like the Pocket. It is quite well made and performs very well.

I guesstimating it will be here sometime between the 10th - 15th....

Looking forward to seeing it and comparing it....

Yup, I noticed it was good price too, after checking on the internet.

I found some pretty interesting devices here

Especially the iRiver devices look cool:

It's sold as a translator, it runs an Android OS, so it's much more than just a translator.

I like the Korean technology because they are the leading country when it comes to technology.

Yep, Jake, got it a week ago.....

Been meaning to post with some pics, but have been insanely busy with work lately....

I will do that hopefully, this evening....

In meantime, really like the Yoga....

Same high quality as the Pocket, but with backlit keyboard, optical mouse curser/button, special hinge that allows you to fold display back to make it like a tablet. Got it with the 2-button stylus pen, works great.

For general use, it runs about same as Pocket. However, occasionally, you notice a slight lag in responsiveness compared to Pocket. But not a big deal for me with my uses of Yoga; mainly web browsing, office / To Do List, note-taking programs, etc. I'm not a gamer, so, haven't tried that, but I would guess it would not be great for the newest games.

So, for me, really like the Yoga over the Pocket. YMMV.

Pics as soon as I can get to it...

Mark
