Takes a while for the pix on the site to come up, but this is made by the same win gpd folks. Can't be certain, but it looks to be a much smaller 7"-er than the ones of yore. It's nice to see that somewhere, someplace, engineers still think about a physical keyboard.

It was mentioned on Liliputing as well: https://liliputing.com/2017/01/gpd-pocket-will-7-inch-touchscreen-la... Support for Windows and Ubuntu. I like the keyboard, too. It seems like it's been a while since we've seen a sub-10" laptop.

That's weird. I can get to it by googling "liliputing gpd pocket". Not sure why the link isn't working.

I can confirm the Japanese site to be up and running. Maybe it was too popular? :-)

Oops.... should have read carefully. It was about liliputing. My bad.

Still, this GPD Pocket looks SO cool. 365grams, 7 inch screen.

According to Liliputing's article, "it’s expected to support either Windows 10 or Ubuntu 16.04 Linux."

I don't believe it's even in production yet, but the form factor/weight is much intriguing. I lurk in the win gpd reddit forum (those guys are on the front line) and I'm reading about factory problems (e.g. second generation gpds better than the first, but a user is complaining about loose hinges on new device). I'm sure that there'd be similar assembly curve with the Pocket GPD.

We could be years away from owning a well-built one...
