Ok, let's get this thread going.

What is this thread? It's a place where you can request old software where we the community, will do our best to find the copyright owners of the requested software and ask the copyright holder to release the software to the public for free.

What isn't this thread? A place to share your purchased keys for old software as it is still copyrighted and HPC:Factor would be liable for distrubution of pirated programs which is against the law.

How do we do it? Simply ask the developer to release his / her software into the populace for free. But here is where it gets tricky. It may be that a company no longer exists, if that's the case trying to garnish as much information you can from their website from the Waybackmachine (http://web.archive.org) will be extremely helpful. While the email addresses will more than likely be defunct, getting a name would be very beneficial.

Post what you'd like to see released here, those of us interested in doing so will try to see if we can get in contact with the copyright holder and ask if they'd be willing to release the software for us to use. Remember to include any and all detail you have about the software like manufacturer, website and contact information.

There are quite a few demo and trial software in the downloads section which we could start off with. (https://www.hpcfactor.com/scl/)

Excellent. If you have any success, we'll write it up as a FP news post

After two more emails to the aforementioned developers I've had no response to my query.

*Edit*
Will be trying other developers. Anyone have any suggestions?
