Ok, was given a nicely used Venue Pro 11 with the i3 processor. Heavy little thing, but still a nice little machine. Has Windows 10 home installed, it runs great. However, if I restart the PC or it goes into hibernation it doesn't want to start up. I'll have to remove the battery and start it up that way from a complete cold start. Which makes me think it has something to do with how Windows 10 never really shuts down, but goes into deep sleep (or whatever it's called). If I turn it off completely (hold power button in 10 seconds etc.) it'll start up just fine.

Any ideas?

Go into the power savings mode and make adjustments there. Turn off hibernation. Akso check the bios and see if there are any power settings there turned on.

You need to work out conclusively which S level is causing the problem
S5 - Totally off > on
S4 - Hibernate > on
S1 - Sleep/Standby > on

What you want is for it to be S4 as powercfg /h off in CMD will just disable it completely.

I found a thread on Dell.com that looks like the user has the same issue I have. https://www.dell.com/community/Tablets-Mobile-Devices/Venue-11-Pro-w...

I'm going to see if updating the driver helps any.

**Update**
Mark on Dell.com situation helped me. After updating the Intel drivers it now works like a champ. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and tips.
