Hi forum,

first post here (after finding that i'm not alone fiddling with these devices )

I have a 820 journada (and some other smaller siblings) and i recently wanted to try to get it out on the network. After purchasing a pcmcia network card (an SMC PC Card 10 / 8022BT/T) i tried to plug it in and get it working (as i have read that this card should be natively supported without the need for additional drivers (??)). When asked by the hp i named it "NE2000". When re-plugging the card, i can see the green light flashing on the dongle, but when starting IE, it yells that it has no connection.

Would i still need some additional driver? Or update some system software?

(it is running the 2.11 core)

Try giving it a static IP and see if it works.

It's possible that your switch isn't negotiating duplex 10mbps connectivity with the card. It's also possible it just isn't working.

Soft reset almost always cures in my case. Try it, it's free
