| Just spent an hour on the Wayback Machine. Visited HPCF… I sure miss the old days… |

| Me too. Seeing the tumble weed roll through depresses me every day. |

| The big disappointment for me has always been what hasn't been archived, including downloadable files. |

| How about all the software that we only have in demo format and cannot be obtained anywhere. |

No, I meant from pages archived in the Wayback Machine (in general, from other sites ). |

| Also yes. It's like a form of survivors guilt.
Perhaps we should compile a WBM links resource of all the great content we've lost? |

| I was a young teen in the late 90's when handhelds were all the rage and remember vividly standing in Office Depot looking at the isle of handhelds that you could try thinking how cool they were. That interest still runs strong today, both for old and new handhelds. And thanks to Rich, who I liken to a drug dealer, has supplied me throughout the years with (quite) a few. I'm glad they're making a resurgence. |

| I remember I first got my Sigmarion 1. The STN screen made me think twice to watch videos on it, but I ran a web server in my house with CEHTTP.
I think I ran a smtp server on it too, from the same author as CEHTTP. I don't quite remember seeing new condition Handheld PC in Japan. There were lots of used ones circa 2004-2005 in used electronics store and Yahoo Japan Auction.

| Well, retro seems to be all the rage now. Maybe just a matter of time... I see Psion 5mx and Jornada 720/728 machines are still in high demand on eBay. |

| It is truly sad to see web pages and software disappear without being archived. I guess if one were to buy old computers from estate sales, maybe one could get lucky and find copies of some software that is available nowhere online. |

| I've been collecting Windows CE software since 1999 and I have insane amounts of it, much of it commercial Software from companies that are long gone. I have it on a RAID NAS, but I would really like to be able to preserve it. It's not my IP and not my right to share it, but I feel like eventually everything would just get lost :/
Anyway, I'm very happy this community is still going strong! I like to believe that many young people who might become fascinated with what came before smartphones will find this site extremely valuable
