Here's a little pet project, it's very beta right now and half of the things don't work, but it might be interesting already

Biggest problem: all my handhelds are currently in another country! D:

Anyway, I made some php scripts that translate news.ycombinator.com into HTML4, plus any article into basic html using a php port of Mozillas "reading mode". Images get converted to gif and resized too but that only works half of the time.

http://news.ohnitsch.net/ <- here's the url

http://news.ohnitsch.net/read.php?url=http://your-url-here <- you can use this with any url, however keep in mind that this is specifically meant to extract article text, so results may vary

If anyone can, let me know if and how well it works on Windows CE 2.11/3.0
(And please don't spread this, this is just for testing)

Lots to fix still! I wanted to have it display the favicon as site logo more or less, since many sites have pretty big favicons now. Turns out with .co.uk addresses the code I used seems to think the website domain is co.uk where it should be bbc.co.uk. Will fix that, I used some third party code for that!

edit: Articles on hpcfactor work very well indeed!

Your UA is missing its closing parenthesis and has an unnecessary space
