Hi,

I have one 690 with 32MB Ram and a broken keyboard (see previous thread).

I have one 680 with 16MB ram (working just fine).

Is it possible for me to take the RAM from the 690 and upgrade the 680?

If so, any docs how can can go about that?

Cheers,
S.

Remove AC, and the two batteries. Remove the screws under the front edge, pop the keyboard, pull the ROM chip. Reverse.

So that really worked. Just pop it out from the right side using the stylus (there is some tape holding it down too). However, there was an interesting effect as the board contains the complete OS and Applications. So I got the complete works from the 690.

Note: You best remove the backup battery too because I ran into problems restarting the device after fitting the module.
