Looks interesting, though savaged in this review:

https://www.androidauthority.com/fxtec-pro1-review-960653/

Reviewer also makes reference to this phone:

https://www.androidauthority.com/lg-g8x-thinq-review-1047523/

Which reminds me of the dual-screen Sony Tablet P. Put Hacker keyboard on the second screen and away you go.

The reviewer's complaints about opening the fxtec remind me a little of the Nokia E7 complaints. Initially, that phone was difficult to open, but once you figured it out, it wasn't.

What's stopping them from making it a full clamshell (with a real keyboard instead of that silly pop-out one that we've seen before) that can be held to the head while closed?

I really like this type of keyboard on the device. It's like a hybrid of HTC Tytn II & Toshiba Dynapocket.

$699 is a bit steep for me though, sadly.
I just bought a smartphone from Sony to replace my old one from Sharp several months ago.

I admire it as well, though I'm enjoying my Cosmo, which finally arrived.

This phone seems thinner than the Cosmo.

Nice!

How do you like the touch feel of the keyboard of Cosmo?

It seems better than the Gemini's, though I have read complaints from some users that a key will stick (the solution appears to be to remove the key, clean under it, and reseat). I also find the hinge much more robust than the Gemini's.

It's the backlighting that's so cool, adjustable and very illuminating.

Speedier CPU. Android Pie, which has less adjustability in System Tuner UI than previous versions, so the status bar has less customization--that's a disappointment.

Thank you for writing about how you thought about the Cosmo.

I touched the Gemini in Akihabara a few months ago, I liked the feel of the keyboard.
I didn't know about the System Tuner UI, that it existed.

I liked the physical keyboard on my Blackberry 8700. It's been so long that I'm not even certain that was the correct model number.
