Hi, ntware,

Gemini and Cosmo are both great devices. Main advantage of Cosmo in my case, is having more of a cellphone/PDA combo design as well as the backlit keyboard.

I would say the Cosmo keyboard is a bit better/smoother.

Archi, out of curiosity, how well does the Cosmo tie the two together? Like my old Nokia Communicators, you could start texting on the exterior and resume on the inside.

HPC:Fan, That's a good question....

I haven't really played with the CoDi (Cover Display) much....as I like to open it up and type on keyboard if I'm using it.

My understanding is the CoDi is meant more as a place to access your contacts to make a call, see who's calling when Cosmo is in closed position, other notifications, etc.

Will try to test out what you're saying sometime soon and report back....

LineageOS it trust me, best thing you'll do in quarantine! You can revert back to stock if you keep a screenshot of the current build info.

Did that when I got it in early 2017. It's still not safe because the kernel and drivers are unmaintained. Android is just an 'operating environment' on top of Linux, similar to what Windows was back in the days of MS-DOS, and the GS4 Mini's kernel is ancient by today's standards.

It's still useful as a strictly offline device (or cellular phone and texting protocols only), especially if VoLTE becomes accessible to more phones than just carrier-provided handsets and iPhones. But for internet stuff I want my HP 2133 to take over once I stop using it as a development platform.

Hi again,

Just checked Cosmo and Cover Display usage..

I don't see a way to do type text message using Cover Display.

nothing beats grayscale screens for distraction free writing, and writing tools never seem to really get outdated, so consider me a new clinger.
Still gotta nab a cheap sigmarion 3 though, you all are hyping me up about it and a GPD pocket, even the older model just costs significantly more than a sigmarion from a japanese auction site and a 18650 recell.

Hey Archi, thanks for checking it out. Guess writing texts on the go is out of the question!
