Saw this on the HP Palmtop mailing list, so kudos to them. Word 97 is one *.exe file and works fine in Linux/WINE.
Pretty cool, especially since Word 97 remains my wp of choice,

| That's pretty cool, glad it's freely available now. Looks like some of my old computers will be getting Office today.

| Oh, wouldn't that be fun! But no, even those great Netwalker geeks over in your woods couldn't get WINE working. Too much ARM, etc. There is an alpha WINE port, but even the guy who developed it couldn't get it to do much more than install. I have spent far too much time translating their stuff into English--couldn't resist; god, they knew their stuff.
