Hi ShadowMaster! It's good to see you around again. I recently discovered that someone ported .net CF 1.0 to WinCE 2.00 and up, which means that there little machines can run C# programs as well! The .net CF is just a small subset of the regular .net framework, but I still find it much more user friendly than forgotten native Windows APIs. As a test, I created a little TicTacToe clone which was posted here:
https://github.com/HPC-Factor/TicTacToe
The nice thing about .net CF is that the same compiled app runs everywhere, from an abandoned WinCE 2.0 device to a modern Windows 10 machine.
Welcome back! =

Hey! Thanks. It's great to be back.
CF on WinCE? Sweet! C# is a great language, and even when I'm normally not a fan of .NET or similar frameworks, I have to admit they work really great for cross-platform development, so this is a really cool thing to see.

I stalk that site
(and "yapo.cl", a similar platform
) on an almost daily basis. For years I've been looking there for old calculators, vintage equipment and -yes- Handhelds.
It's been a while since the last time they had anything interesting in there. Right now there's literally 2 HPC machines, and both WinCE 2.11 or lower.
I've also checked eBay many times over the last couple of days, but they seem to only have the "gold" version of the machines I want
(I mean.. considering how much they are asking for them I assume they are made of gold or something
).
