Hi gang,

I normally use TextMaker or Pocket Word for my text needs but they aren't so good for coding. What text editors do you prefer to use on Windows CE? I have the Tilanosoft Pocket Notepad but it's pretty stripped down.

And are there any that are not listed in the SCL "Text Editor" section?

https://www.hpcfactor.com/scl/search.asp?Search=Search&tag=true&free...

I searched for "syntax" but did not get results. Are there any editors with code highlighting?

I tend to use the simple editor bundled with Pocket Scheme for writing code/editing plaintext files, but I wouldn't mind a nicer editor as well. I've seen a couple Vi and Emacs clones here and around the web but never had much luck with them.

Pocket WZ Editor for Windows CE Ver.2.0 / 3.0 is good, but it's a paid app.
I bought a copy (CD) back in the day, it was really good. I don't know if it has an English interface though.

Cedit looks promising, but unfortunately it is a trialware and paid. The vendor's website is offline.

https://www.hpcfactor.com/scl/427/Logical_Sky_Software/CEdit/version...

It is under scripting category in the SCL.

Maybe someone can track down the author and see if they'll do exemptionware? There's a reference to his name here: http://pijulius.blogspot.com/2008/10/pocet-pc-cedit-on-windows-mobi...

Tim Kingsbury.

This is the most likely match: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tim-kingsbury-74b1394/

Well, there's only on ebay we're going to break your introversion now isn't there. It's just a linkedin message after all, not a house call!
