Has anyone had any success in changing the backlight on a J720/28 either with a direct replacement or perhaps an LED upgrade?
I ask because the backlight on my J728 daily driver is starting to go and any advice would be appreciated.

Maybe a better option would be to buy a broken one with working screen and just do the old switcheroo. Or, just buy a whole new one.

Seems to me this is the better way to go...upgrade to LEDs. I'll look into it...the led drivers should be readily available these days. The photos of the teardown are quite good, too.
