I purchased a few of these cheap wifi cards on ebay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/AmbiCom-WL54-CF-802-11g-54Mbps-Wireless-Wif... ...they fit the CF card slot on the MP900/MP900c.
when the ambicom driver is downloaded from hpcFactor downloads, for the first time I am able to use WPA encryption...which isn't perfect but much improved over WEP...and at higher speeds than 11MBS. If you need spoonfeeding on the wifi set up I can give details...not all that hard to configure, though.
This improves security and speed especially with remote desktop
(RDP
)on a windows 7 desktop used as a media server I have set up using an old WPA enabled router. ..its not usually connected to the internet...but I can download from the internet on my wpa-2 laptop and then upload to the wpa media server by changing my wifi connection to it. Well, you get the general idea. These cards are a great buy at this price...and work great, IMO.
