Both CF cards work in my J820. The SanDisk Ultra has the linux partition. I previously mentioned my inability to get Debian 'Sarge' to attach my pcmcia h/d to a driver while it had no trouble utilizing my network cards. I also posted that I had mounted the Fat 16 portion of the CF card and had written a text file to it.

In recent weeks I picked up another CF card and a pcmcia adapter. Booting linux from the regular CF slot with the additional card/adapter combo in the pcmcia slot brought no joy - still no attachment of the card to an ide-driver. Switching them around however did work! Booted linux from the pcmcia slot and both cards were attached. One picture is of a test file I wrote with Pocket Word while in WinCE and displayed by 'Nano' under Debian after I mounted the card.
A small victory but somehow very satisfying.
