Today, as usual, my Jornada ventured deep into the endless dungeon of oblivion. At one point, he traced a hidden path to an ancient vault smelling a strong scent of open source goodies for the mortal handhelds :

gcc, kaffe, FLITE, vim, emacs ... nice, nice ...

Drooling over all these artefacts, the little brave adventurer threw himself into (what looked like) the entrance of the great hall.

and ... BAM!

At once the nicey-nicey images all puffed into thin air. My poor Jorny ran straight into a steel wall.

TLR, the download links are no longer working ...

Does anyone know how to break the seal?

The last post here: https://www.hpcfactor.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=17016
has a download link to a .tgz file of some of the software - use at own risk.

Thanks for dropping the magical tarball!
Though incomplete, it's still feeling nice to salvage what remains pf the trove.

We already have several of those tools in our Software Compatibility List:

Thanks, CE Geek. I already checked out the SCL when hitting the wall. Among the 8 programs, only ShowPic and TeX/LaTeX are downloadable, while the others are missing the download sections.

If I have the permission to restore those relics, sure I will. But can I? And how?

What a coincidence, a few days ago I also found Rainer's website (and the broken links). A copy of the code for his CELIB.DLL still lives on SourceForge (you'll need cvs installed to clone the repository), link for those interested, there's also the code for a PocketCMD there. While searching for that I also accidentally found this and this archive of old GCC versions for Windows CE.

PS: at least these two links still work: wince-jornada-tools.tar.gz and wince-desktop-tools.tar.gz, maybe some other links work too but I didn't click them all.

PPS: celib.tar.gz also works. des-wince-arm.tar.gz also works. The code for his Perl for Windows CE is here.

I have several versions of celib.dll and cedialogs.dll, and some of his other stuff. It'll take a while to upload all of it, but I'll get on it as soon as I can.
