Basically the guy was looking for CE.net devices, and user "SLUG" recommended the FutureCom Global "Web Tablet"

As you can see, these are tablets on CE.net, almost like SmartDisplays, but not quite. I thought they were nothing I haven't seen, until I saw their prices on the eBay store:

$299 USD? Isn't that cheap? As I mentioned in that thread, the model with StrongARM would be the best bet for compatiblity reasons, even if it's a little slow.
I know it isn't very portable, but I thought it could be another nice Couch-panion
at that price. What do you think? Is there something similar/better/cheaper out there?
BTW, altho not entirely related, Sony's LocationFree TV is 5 times that price
