I was meaning to post this news earlier but work and then an illness got in the way.

Blog post link (it's long and most things are irrelevant so click here to go to the PinePhone keyboard section).

This isn't an existing product yet but the idea and design look interesting. The DIY keyboard they show in a photo looks like the perfect size/form factor for a modern HPC-like device.

Thanks for the link!

I liked the size of the DIY keyboard like you say too.

Amazing, the price. $199usd. Even when retailing for $250, that's remarkably low.

Gemini/Cosmo never really got their Linux off the ground.

I'm hoping that it's a full-fledged mobile Linux, meaning WINE and the other goodies of a desktop setup.

Hi Jake,

I updated my Cosmo to the latest Linux and CoDi version released. So, now can use the cover rocker buttons as mouse buttons and CoDi screen as trackpad....much better now.

Hi, Mark--glad to hear that Planet finally got that update out to users. Since Cosmo is my daily driver, I'm not certain I can switch over to Linux, but always happy to see improvements for others.

As for the PinePhone, I poked around in its forums and it doesn't appear ready for prime time, at least in terms of a daily driver, but things seem promising.

Happy New Year,
Jake
