Recently acquired a HP 620lx and looking to get online :)

Hi all, I had a HP 620lx nearly 20 years ago , sold it a long time ago, but have now acquired another!

I'm looking to get online with it, but need drivers etc so decided to make a post. I've got a few pcmcia cards all are 16 bit but none are on the HCL

Let's see how I get on....

First of all, welcome!

Just because ethernet/wifi cards aren't in the HCL (yet) doesn't mean the cards won't work, many (especially no-name brand) cards use a common chipset, and a generic driver will work!
I think someone else here might be more helpful with giving recommendations on which drivers you can try!

What model cards do you have?

Unless it is a NE2000 Ethernet adapter or a Prism 2/2.5/3 wifi adapter, it's unlikely that you'll get something to work that isn't in the HCL. If a card is either of those things and we do not have it in the HCL though, please do submit it.

I have

Linksys WPC11 ver 3
Netgear FA411
Zyxel B-100
Dlink DCF-660W

I have the device now so will try them and update if any work

Just plugging them in all 4 get feedback saying unidentified PC card inserted, but only the dlink and the zyxel light up (the other 2 might be dead)

I'll try the drivers etc see if i get anywhere

i've had a look around and it seems i need the Intersil Prism 2.5 Reference Driver but i can't download it

You'll need SP1 and the unofficial NSP for CE 2.0 before installing any further drivers.
