Hello!
I have no computer with a CD/RW drive. So i had to find a solution:

I took:
- one EXP PCMCIA to CD/DVD IDE enclosure
- one old DVD/RW drive I had from an old notebook
- the Jornada with Linux

And voila, you can burn ISO fils to CD-ROMs.

The program I used is called "wodim". You can install it from the Devuan repository!

The command I used to burn a ISO: sudo wodim -eject -tao speed=10 dev=/dev/yourcddrive -v -data youriso.iso

Very nice! I did something similar with a SCSI PCMCIA card and CD burner (there are no SCSI DVD burners that I am aware of) when I was trying to get NetBSD to work on my Mac. IIRC I used an old version of jlime on my Jornada and mkisofs to do the actual burning.

You must be the first person to ever burn a CD from a Jornada 720, you're making HPC history!

Ha! Maybe I am the first, who knows?

After the upgrade CD for my satnav I even burned DVDs for the satnav in my Range Rover. It is not fast, but it works.
Everyday that I use the old Jornada, I am more in love with it. It has replaced my Notebook that I used to carry around completely. Maybe I should write a few lines on how I use it and what applications.

By the way, I compiled a new kernel with another method of patching the BX instruction. I did some "benchmark" tests and the system is a lot snappier. More about that in the Linux thread ...
