Hi there.

I have a WaveLan by Lucent PCMCIA Wifi adaptor.
Silver (Turbo 11Mb)
PC24E-H-FC
P/N 012372A

I did not know if there was a Windows CE 2.0 driver out there that would work with my 360LX.

Any help would rock :-)

Thanks

-Walt

I was using this Wifi card with my Apple Emate 300, so I know it was compatible with older Palmtops. Would be cool if I could use my 360LX to check my mail on the go.

Also will I need a different email client ? Not sure if the Outlook on CE 2.0 out of the box can be configured or not with Gmail.

Has anyone been able to use the older version of Outlook on CE 2.0 to check their mail ?

https://www.hpcfactor.com/hcl/detail.asp?hcdid=476

https://www.hpcfactor.com/downloads/details.asp?r={A93E87AC-41C5-4C5...

I cant download the file tho :-(

Help

-Walt

It lists the 360LX as compatible. If i can get this downloaded, I can then see what email program may be compatible with Gmail on Windows CE 2.0

Would someone be willing to email it to me ?

So i installed the driver today on my 360LX, it sees the card. I installed the netsetup. But it wont connect to my wifi. Not sure if there is a different program I can use thats a little more advanced than what they gave me ? My wifi where I live has a simple password and thats it. Simple.

I also need to find the MFCCE20.dll file that was on the original disc for this Wave Lan wifi card. The driver you download does not contain this file and im not really sure where to get it.

Well im messing with the card on my Sharp HC-4100. Is there any programs to use that will help me connect this unit to my wifi router ? The program that installed with the driver is basically useless. Unless there is an updated version of their program for CE 2.0 ?

The two lights will occasionally blink, if I turn on Adhock demo mode the main light turns on and the other is searching so the card itself is functioning.

-Walt B

Sharp is running CE 2.0

In control panel on the Sharp it does not list an icon for "wireless network". It does have an icon for "Network" and that lists the Wireless card. It does show the WaveLAN icon, but as I said it seems to be of very little help.

I did a soft reset as the readme says to try that. But no cigar.

-Walt B

In the WaveLAN program ive tried different settings etc and nothing works. Also Ive tried putting MAC addy in manually and it keeps saying to enter a valid MAC addy. I dunno.

I cant find the 4.04 version to download (the link gives an error). Maybe this 4.06 version of the driver is the issue ?

Did you install the NSP?

There is no reason for you to need to enter a MAC address in the driver. It's burned into the card. You don't need to virutalise it.

Ok this is what I did.

Reset (full reset) of the Sharp 4100. I installed Service Pack, NSP, Driver, Utility. Still no "Wireless Network" icon, there is the WavLAN icon and "Networking" icons. Not sure how I can be messing this up lol. Im no dummy this stuff, but recently im feeling like one lol.

But !!! When I installed the WavLAN software it tries to install/copy over old files and it cant. I click yes and it says if the file is in use or rom close program and click yes. No to leave current file or Cancel. I have nothing running in background. ^ this did not happen last time. This is new to this current setup process.

-Walt B

Im letting the unit reset again and this time im going to:
Install HC 4000 update
Service Pack update
NSP update
Drive
Utility

After doing everything. This is my control panel.

This is the program that is installed with Wifi.

-Walt B

The unit sees the card. The lights blink at the same time, trying to connect. But then it says could not connect to DHCP server.

My wifi is nothing special.

Ok I managed to get it to work. It now tries to load my routers page (to enter password/login) and it requires Javascript. So I know the wireless card is working. Before the card was not doing any of this. Im sure it had to do with resetting the unit this last time. Took awhile. Thanks everyone ! Now see if I can find a browser that will load the routers page so I can login all the way.

-Walt B

WOOT WOOT !!!
