I’ll take a look and try to add compatibility where I can.
I was doing some digging on ScummVM and found that someone compiled a later release for Windows CE 5.0 MIPS. It didn’t work on my 790 but I wanted to ask to see if maybe we should archive it. I just don’t want to add stuff if I can’t test it nor personally vet it.
It was posted on the ScummVM forums. Apparently Korea has a lot of MIPS devices.
Long story short the last MIPS release officially was 0.7.1. This is a port for 0.10

If it is a genuine CE 5 app and not a miss-tagged WM5 one, sure, go for it.

Never heard of a Windows Mobile 5 device with a MIPS processor, C:Amie.

But there were some CE 5.0 MIPS PMPs originating from South Korea, as I've pointed out in a couple of threads here.

Perfect, I added it. Obviously I am unable to test it hahah. Also, I've been working on testing/adding compatibility for the SCL.
I love underappreciated architectures--love MIPS/PowerPC!

Is there a list of maybe the top 20 most downloaded or viewed SCL programs ? I’d like to focus on testing those, and adding screenshots if needed.
Edit : off topic
I know GAPI doesn’t run on MIPS but can I run that CESD benchmark on my HPC2K MIPS to give DVD catalyst info for it if that’s useful?

Thank you! I saved the list and started adding compatibility data + screenshots where I can. I can't guarantee I'll do all of them but I'll do my best!
Plus, it's fun discovering new programs I might like

Does anyone happen to have any Japanese programs by developer CE Factory archived somewhere? They required PocketC runtime

I added all that Vector.co.jp (shoutout to stingraze for that site! I've been finding a bunch of software for the SCL from there) and Archive.org had, but we're missing:

SpeakEZ-R
V1.10

SpeakEZ
V1.10

SmallAss
V1.11

ML Getter-Robo
V0.03

BatchGoo!
V1.00

There is a newer version of Tombo Notes than 1.13 which is on the SCL. It's available from the developers OSDN here:
https://osdn.net/projects/tombo/releases/18958
It's the file Tombo_1_17_ce_all_en.zip, and there's a sigmarion 3 release too called Tombo_1_17_sig3.zip
I've tested it on my Jornada 728.
Tombo is open source so it can be redistributed.

I also found an archive of tillanosoft's site with working downloadable links, at least Pocket Notepad is a newer version than the SCL:
https://web.archive.org/web/20070817220939/http://www.tillanosoft.co...
I've tested PocketNotepad 4.0.10 on the same device, haven't gone through anything else on the archive yet.
pnotepad doesn't appear to be open source but the copyright notice allows distribution.

Also on the page:
https://www.hpcfactor.com/scl/contribute.asp
in the first section "If they don't already exist and are acceptable under the rules, please let us know through this thread", not sure if 'this thread' is supposed to be hyperlinked to this thread but it doesn't appear for me.

Dionysius, I was able to locate a newer version of Tombo - 2.0 beta 4 ( final version released for Windows CE) and added to the SCL. I haven't tested it yet
https://www.hpcfactor.com/scl/1611/Tomohisa_Hirami/Tombo/version_2.0...
there was a typo in the URL it should be 2.0b4

Great, I'll test it on my J728 along with the 78e285d version you mention in the comments and upload the results in the SCL.

Tombo has been my main note-taking app on my HPC, mostly due to the convenient file tree.

I think I’ll have to recompile the 78e285d version because technically Tombo comes with additional dlls, so I’d recommend downloading beta 4 (including all of its dlls first) then copying the exe from 78e285d so it works correctly.

Will do, thanks for the tip.

Basic functions in both 2.0b4 and 78e285d work fine on my 728. I'll use 78e285d for a while and report if there's any longer term stability issues. The about page for it still shows 2.0b4 as the version.

The only noticeable differences so far to version 1.8 and earlier is the addition of the EOF markers as noted by ict in the comments for version 2.0b4. I couldn't find whether there is a setting to hide them.

Thanks for the feedback. Should I just copy the .dlls from the beta 4 and repackage the 78e285d release that way?
