What have you done with an H/PC today?

Today I did a few things.

1. Made a Sig3 power cable for torch
2. Glued/fixed up one of the Sig3 batteries that I rebuilt previously
3. Played around with network shares on Windows 10- I was able to print a page to my wifi printer from TextMaker and install Pocket Grandmaster from my Sig3 over wifi through my Windows 10 PC.
4. Played a game of chess with Pocket Grandmaster

That's really cool. I didn't know printer sharing worked even now with Sigmarion 3.

That's about the same reaction I had. Plus a bit of dancing around and shouting "YES!" haha. The printout looked good too- just like it appeared in TextMaker.

Oh wow, how were you able to connect to a printer?

On my windows 10 computer I enabled SMB1.0 in windows features, then I went to the printers page and clicked manage, printer properties, sharing, clicked share and gave it a name. On my sig I went into textmaker and made my document and then hit print. Chose PCL laser and "network" for the port. Typed in the windows 10 computer name and printer name like this \\desktop-12345\myprinter

And hit print. It asked me for login, I entered my local account and password, left domain blank and hit ok. Then... It printed!

I've outlined a slideshow for an online meeting I had today using my Sigmarion 3 in a cafe using the preinstalled Wordpad. I saved the notes to a 2GB Toshiba SD card and put it in my laptop and converted into a slideshow by copying & pasting the outline.

Yesterday, I wrote some notes in a park with Sigmarion 3 and I also brought along my EMONSTER S11HT, a Japanese HTC Tytn II variant.

I love that! And, I have a sticker on my sig3 in almost the same place you do!

Nice sticker on the Sigmarion 3. And I like your keyboard underneath!

It made me want to read Neuromancer by William Gibson.
I've read Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson a bit in Japanese.
