Ive been getting comfortable with my 680e (I have a 690 on the way as well). These two are replacing my old greyscale 360LX and Casio A-11+ models ive been using for decades. My eyes needed color as im getting older, its waaaaaay easier to read. Although i will miss my old units, im already happier with my 680e then i ever was with my other two main units. From the keyboard to the display to the speed. Im just blown away by the 680e. I plan on buying pocketdos and i want to work on getting Jlime onto one of the units so i can get experience with linux. Last time i played with Linux was in the late 90s. So its been 25 years since ive messed with it, hence why ive been asking all these questions on linux lately. Hopefully i can get it to work, if not i gotta find someone who i can send a CF card to and set it up on the card for me.

Im always using my palmtops. Everyday i go thru some of my baseball cards and i keep all the info on players, bios, stats, cards etc using Word and Excel. Theres not a day that goes by im not using my palmtops. :-)

Updated my Sigmarion 3 with a new sticker from Arm.

Going to see if my BUFFALO WiFi CF card will work on my Sigmarion 3. (It's compatible, but I need to check it since I bought it untested) I think it's only WEP though. So I'll just scan for network and see what kind of networks are near my place.

I LOVE the VectorEngine sticker, that one is super cool.

As for WEP, I went to Goodwill (store with secondhand goods) and bought a $5 router that's compatible with https://freshtomato.org/ [aftermarket router firmware] which I can then plug in to my normal router and then have a WEP access point for my HPCs

Yeah, I like the tagline of the VectorEngine. No Vector, No Performance. Which is kinda funny. Geek / Nerd joke.

Nice, it's always cool to flash your own OS / firmware on products. I never did it on a router, but I did mod an iPod nano and iPod mini. I installed Linux on my iPod mini long time ago. lol.

Since my health scares a few weeks ago ive been diving deep into PocketDOS and feeling like a kid again. I grew up with DOS and had not messed with it for decades literally. Next thing im finally getting around to is installing JLime on my 690. I like having the 680e dedicated to CE and DOS and the 690 for other things. Theres always new things or old familiar things to do with these palmtops. I never get bored ;-)

I did something a bit peculiar.

I used a GAME BOY emulator to run a GAME BOY OS called AMADO v.0.0.3 on my Sigmarion 3 today. AMADO runs smoothly on my Sigmarion 3.

Thanks. You can download the ROM for free here:

(You need an account there though)

also, the version was a mistake: correct version is: v.0.03
