The comments are pretty hilarious, though they stray far from our beloved OS. |

| Microsoft has taken an eternity to begin to learn on this. For some reason they could never work out that if you release a product with the year of release in the name, it sounds old, backwards and dated within 12 months. |

| Remember that old Windows CEMeNT joke...
I've always thought CE meant Community Edition. Edited by stingraze 2021-12-17 11:53 AM

| Someone put together a YouTube video about CEMeNT. I actually downloaded it a long time ago but can't find the download at the moment. Here's the link though:

| yep I saw it yesterday. Made me giggle.
Especially the
"taught the people to turn the computer off by pressing a button marked start".
I was like come to think of it, that's true.... |

| The video was really a critique of Vista, but they couldn't resist putting together the letters from the other three systems - something they couldn't do with the versions using numbers (95, 98, 7, 10, etc ). |

| Yep.
I remember Vista was hated, but 7 was loved by many.
I wonder how 11 will turn out. Didn't try it out yet. |

| I still have a soft spot for XP, since it syncs well with most CE devices through ActiveSync 3.8, and was loaded with multimedia capability. |

| I just stumbled on another article talking about the history of Windows CE, and Microsoft's love-hate relationship with its own creation. And a very familiar figure in the Windows CE world was interviewed for the article.

Interesting review... rather chaotic history ... made me Wince. CE was feared as a parasite of sorts?
Pleased to see Chris's comments/insight in the mix!
