I use devices running Windows CE. This OS is really fascinating, and deserves more attention.
It's still supported by Microsoft nowadays under the name of Windows Embedded Compact 2013.
However, variants are still used, even when outdated: Windows CE 6.0, Windows XP Embedded, Windows NT 4.0 Embedded, etc.
I often find Windows CE 6.0 running on embedded devices, like item scanners, mobile phones, etc. and I'm a really enthousiast user of these, because it shows a Windows desktop on a tiny screen, how clever and familiar it feels like.
However, for my personal notes, playing cards, the piano, or small musics, I use a Casio Cassiopeia A20-F I mixed with a A20-G version, to fix problems I've had with the first one. It runs Windows CE 2.00.
I develop software for this platform thanks to a SDK. I've made an IRC client, a Paint software, a piano software, and I tried to port a NES emulator, but it's in Visual Basic, so it's too slow and jamming the H/PC.
Hence the fact I'm looking for a card game software pack, I think I've seen one in the download section.
I've also bought a Wi-Fi card for this tiny PC, hoping that it'll work, so I also need the drivers that are meant to make this PCMCIA work, or else, I've got a 56K modem card to use with it. Even if I don't know how to link it to the Internet.
Best Regards,
LordEmilio.
