Hi everyone, I have a working pcmcia accurite floppy I fixed after going through few new and used ones on ebay. Ended up fixing the old used ones replacing the belts and fixing a broken head mechanism. The issue is my palmtop 200lx is doublespeed and I found that the stock driver by accurite does not support it. It works on another unmodded hp 200lx but I mainly use the 4MB/doublespeed one. Been trying to find this updated driver which they sent to customers by email apparently without any luck. I searched the internet and this company is offline since 2017. I have tried to contact them with no luck. If anyone hs the updated driver it would be such a great help. The hp200lx super page does not have it too. I appreciate any help!
Happy New Year!
Here is a post by someone named John describing how he got the driver via email, it's dated 1999 so yeah John never replied to my emails.

What an interesting project and congratulations on the success so far, albeit with a stock 200LX.

Have you tried here:

I am happy to put it in the download centre if you want it back in the public domain.

Ok,

Here is a link to the archive, it contains both the drivers for DOS and the drivers for Windows:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1R8cRE9TPn64Ax7dV3eOHOlQEtGkrVO1C/vi...

It's a zip file containing both DOS and windows archives and it's hosted/shared from my google drive...

Cheers,
Radiance

Would any pcmcia floppy drive work with the 200LX? Or how to know which ones do?

Uhm, definitely a no. However:

It might if:

- You write your own driver (based on low level stepping etc...) - as accurite did for their floppy drive, while setting the clock right for single vs double speed LX's.

- power the floppy externally.

Thanks! You’re my LX guru! I never been so interested in these machines as I am lately!
