This is getting a lot of internet attention, but, yeah, the keyboard seems designed for some kind of preschool program. Don't understand it--there's plenty of room for slightly smaller keys, slight larger collection. Along with a button for the kb backlight

Personally, I think the beige color makes it look old-fashioned - but then I guess that's what we're looking for over here on an H/PC site.

The old fashioned is good. haha

I think it will be really cool pretending to be working on spread-sheets with Emulated Lotus 1-2-3.

It looks neat. Half-tempted to get the case printed and try and build it, but putting together the keyboard doesn't sound like a fun time.
Kinda would end up just building my own thing based on the general idea (using the SP hinge is a good idea that I should have thought of), but then I'd also need to design a few parts to 3D print, and I've got no experience with that.

Regarding smaller keys: you can't really get them as far as I know, due to the lack of a market. Anyone doing mechanical keyboard anything is focused on typing, and thus on full-size keys.
I don't like the lack of numbers either, but it does keep cost down. I see people build absurdly tiny mechanical keyboards all the time (and I dunno why they're willing to tolerate the lack of numbers -- I'd be totally willing to add $15-25 to my keyboard cost and a bit of size for them)

I would like to see something like the IQUNIX L80 in a portable device. It looks really cool and it seems to be robust and clunky like an old laptop-keyboard from the eighties

The color pattern of the IQUNIX L80. It will draw attention if it's a portable device for sure!

Defiantly interesting, I agree where are the numbers? Going to struggle using a spread sheet on this lol
Jake is right backlit keyboard would be a nice addition, otherwise loving the concept!

I am pretty sure that the keyboard has different layers - like the Gherkin keyboard.
