Update 4/17/22

Fortunately, someone legit came along and made me a reasonable offer, so 720 is now sold....

Ships out tomorrow....

Update 4/15/22

Unfortunately, I seem to attract eBay bidders that bid, win the auction, and then decide they can't pay for the item.

These guys should get an award for creative excuse making......oh well....

So, have relisted 720 and updated eBay link below.

Hi,

Unfortunately, I need to find a good home for my Jornada720. Hope someone here can help do this.

As of 4/15/22, it is now listed on eBay:

This 720 was purchased from UsedHandhelds.com, so was tested before I got it and you can see it is in excellent physical condition.

It is upgraded to 128MB RAM, so plenty of memory.

Also, including lots of accessory items:

- Stylus

- AC Power Adapter

- Docking Station w/ cable

- 64GB SanDisk Extreme CF Card (with Devuan linux on it)

- 32GB SanDisk Ultra Plus SD Card (with Devuan linux on it)

- SD to CF Card Adapter

- Ambicom WL54-CF WiFi Card

- Cisco Aironet 350 Series (AIR-PCM352) WiFi Card

- Linksys wPC11 WiFi Card (with case)

- Socket CF to PC Card Adapter

- HP Zippered Case for 720 / with internal pockets for cards

Thanks,

Mark

I found several years back that eBay is unusable for anything other than BIN listings.

Listing a lot of tech, as one imagines I might. I went through 3-4 months of very literally being unable to sell anything on it because the bidders were all fake. No communication. No payment. No cancellation. I'd have to sit there for 10 days and wait for the no-payment timeout. Would relist and the same thing would happen. Every. Single. Time.

The realist in me assumes that it's just scammers who assume that a certain percentage of sellers will just ship it before observing that payment hasn't been made. They'll get lucky because it'll turn up at whatever fake or temporary address they're using. The cynic in me however says it's actually eBay, who don't want you using the auction format because they profit more from BIN.

This is after years of growing instances of fraudulent claims being made against the me for 'not as described', 'DOA' and 'not delivered'. It never matters to eBay if you can actually prove they're lying. They just instant refund the buyer without any communication with you. Then when you prove to them that it was a lie their response is essentially: 'well, we've refunded them now and we're not taking the hit so...'.

So generally speaking if I have to list on eBay, I only ever do it as BIN.
