They are very interesting devices. I am wondering if it is possible to connect with an old PC to synchronize the data.

Since it's open source and the hardware specs are open too, it should be able to communicate with old PC via a terminal or something.
I also think the way of using Samba will do the trick by putting both devices on the same LAN.

It would be interesting to synchronize the data with WIndows 2000.
Instead of getting a Handheld PC 2000, which cost and you don't know if they work, get one of these and you've solved the problem!

For those who still use Windows XP, 2000, Vista etc.

I found a site via Twitter that does legacy Windows update. Not too sure about the details but it seems useful to those who absolutely need to use the OS.

https://legacyupdate.net/

Please proceed at your own risk though.

These third party WSUS clones are all incredibly dangerous. Their owners can feed anything onto your machine and if they're hacked, the hackers can feed anything they want onto your machine.

True. Hence I said proceed at your own risk. My anti virus didn’t trigger warning on my environment.

Practically connecting to the internet, is there a high risk of someone trying to "get into" your device and do damage?
