| I have installed Windows Workgroups 3.11 on the virtual machine. Out of curiosity I would like to try installing the drivers for the USB.
I am trying to use this package:
http://www.georgpotthast.de/usb/
But I can't figure out how to install the whole thing.
Anyone have more experience than me? |

| Well that is a DOS driver, not a Windows one. So run dosusb.com in DOS in autoexec.bat and
device=c:\dosusb\usbdisk.sys
in config.sys |

| You need to show us what it says and tell us what you have done / setup if you want assistance. My psychic binary state reading abilities aren't very good these days I'm afraid. |

| You only need DOS 7 if you want FAT32 support.
The fact that it isn't showing any enumerated devices implies that it isn't reading the controller from the passthrough. Are you certain you've passed through the root controller in full? |

| Okay it was just out of curiosity let it be. Too complicated. I give up.

| Passing through real hardware to a VM is a minefield. You're better off just using real hardware. Once you get the new hard drive setup you can just swap memory cards to do things like that. Nice and easy. |

| The creator of this software has a forum and was still giving replies as late as 5/02/22. You might ask him for assistance.
