| That doesn't make any sense, WTSQueryUserToken is a Windows XP remote desktop interface

That isn't a windows 2000 app in other words. |

| How strange, it provides drivers but not a program to connect.
How do I solve this problem? Do you know programs that allow wifi connection?
EDIT:
I discovered this program, it could be for me. However it requires at least internet explorer 5.5. I would like to download 6, but I can't find an Italian version!

I am still + Subscriber Bronze Member, but I cannot download the file, ask me for a donation is this normal?
However while I was waiting, I found the 5.5. Now I install it.
EDIT:
The picture says it all! Now it's time to understand why the two adapters I have don't let me navigate!

| That is correct.
It obviously is not the Windows 2000 install, as you have it working with WiFi. So it would seem either the USB controller or bad drivers. |

| I can't believe it, I'm surfing with the lan! But why??? Did I install that program and now browse using the LAN adapter?
For what reason?
Or was it because I upgraded to Explorer 5.5?

| I did ask you pages back if you had patched Windows 2000 and you said yes... |

This time no, due to a problem, windows no longer started and I restored with the cloned image of windows just installed.
Now the only Windows update was Windows Installer 3.0 and Explorer 5.5.
I was thinking about the update, Windows 98SE and Windows ME, when I tried them they had Explorer 6 SP1 and did not browse, even if properly configured.
Maybe it's that program? |

| Unlikely, unless you were using a corporate version with a proxy server preconfigured on it.
You were not getting na IP address via DHCP though, which presumably you now are over WiFi. So that suggests the issue is drive/hardware in the USB NIC and not anything to do with IE. |

| I wanted to do a test, I restored windows 2000 just installed from a cloned disk image, I first installed WIndows Installer 3.0 and updated to 3.1 then installed Explorer 5.5 and finally installed the LAN adapter, I set it manually and everything works regularly. It connects to the internet.
Surely it was either the explorer update or the installer that installed something that was missing.
I have not installed any WiFi this time.

| How can I create a desktop shortcut with which I can manually start the internet connection? I don't want the PC constantly connected to the internet.
Otherwise I always have to disconnect on the icons of the two PCs and then to reconnect I have to go to the device manager and re-enable the adapter to reconnect to the network. It is not very practical and fast.
I ask this because sometimes, I noticed if the adapter is not disconnected, windows crashes, blue screen when starting. If I activate it only after starting the PC everything works without problems.
Obviously it doesn't always happen, but it's better to prevent it, right?

| Windows before Windows 8 didn't have an ifdown mechanism, so you would have to use a macro to disable it in device manager or find a third party utility |

| I need help, my PC has crashed and I think it has ruined the CF. I have made various attempts, formatting, wiping partition and re-partitioning and formatting, but every attempt failed. Windows 10 scandisk fails to check it and fails to format it. I have tried EaseUS Partition Master and SD Card Formatter and fail to recover the CF. Is there any way to restore it?
To correct the mistakes? |

| Oh no
Possibly not then. That is super annoying. Perhaps if you intend to keep 2000, it is SSD time e.g.
and
Just keep in mind that using a large drive like that with 9x / FAT32 will create other issues. Hence why CF is often easier. |

| Oh and if you replace the CF card and can find a compatible SanDisk, you can set it to Fixed Disk mode btw - http://www.dosdays.co.uk/topics/cf_cards.php |
