I was working on adding more software to the SCL I found, OpenDOS and this page struck me as odd.
The H/PC 2.0 version states MIPS / SH3 / and A60 ....
What is A60?
I downloaded the readme for the A60 version but it just seems to be a Windows CE exe + a reg file readme

I'll upload the readme here. You can pull it up in Word to change encoding to Japanese to translate but it was weird

I couldn't find where it states A60, but A60 is probably Casio's Cassiopeia A60.

Thank you, I updated it on the SCL with a note saying the A60 file may be an A60 specific version

Appreciate your help as always!

Thanks.

Yeah, as the file name is DMO155HPC20A60_MIN.zip
And It should be that:

HPC20 = Handheld PC 2.0
A60 = Cassiopeia A-60

Since both are correct.

I saw the thread title and was going to jump in and say it's the Casio, but I've been beaten to the punch.

Does anyone know what the spec is? We've pretty much got nadda :S

My next project after the SCL is taking a look at the specs pages and filling in missing data.
Also , is there any way to display Japanese text for a Japanese program on an English device? I feel silly uploading screenshots for some of these Japanese programs and there’s just squares for the text. I mean it’s still better than no screenshot but those squares are so ugly and don’t say anything haha.

I think there isn't such a thing, but I know what you are talking about.

I remember there was an application called Let's Japanize or something long time ago for Pocket PC / Windows Mobile devices.
Here's also a way how to support Japanese for Windows Mobile by adding a font. Maybe that will be the method for Windows CE .NET devices? not sure.

I found this tonight for Windows Mobile 6.5...I don't know if it's generic enough to work - but this is only for Chinese characters

That reminded me, you can use CE-Star to enable Japanese Kanji characters. Some info here in a Japanese site. But it is method for Windows Mobile, so not sure if it will work on Windows CE.NET 4.2 devices etc. http://pocketgames.jp/?page_id=552

The method mentioned above was for Treo 500, so here's one for HTC Universal. (Sorry I was on the go and posted from mobile)

Also found another clue:
Studying Japanese with WinCE
https://blog.greggman.com/blog/studying_japanese_with_wince/

I also found a program called JWPce for Windows CE devices which may help non-Japanese users. It can be downloaded from here on archive.org.
