CE 5 x86's wceload

You’re right! I didn’t realize there were two options.
Okay, I figured out the /xb in the bat file and edited it and it does flash successfully but the client doesn’t like CE5 (it just gets to 25% on the boot screen and hangs )
I’m willing to flash whatever you find for me to try others. Now I actually know how to do it.
I’m still convinced there’s a CE5 image for the t5540 because the pdf mentions it I think
Edit I don’t think a different model image will

I found this:

t5540, t5545, t5560 and t5560w are identical hardware-wise and only differ in RAM size, DOM size and OS type. t5540 runs Windows CE, t5545 runs Linux, t5560 runs XPe and t5560w runs WES.


So the t5530 image won’t work because the hardware is different

The only other thing I can think of is maybe to see if there’s a way to browse the drive via network if windows hasn’t loaded? I don’t even know if that’s possible

Do you think you could flash the 5530 image, and then boot it from the USB again (select "no" for the flashing which will drop you to a DOS prompt), and then navigate to the thin client's HDD to copy over the files?

Okay, I tried it - it seems that when it's flashed, it's just a bunch of cabs - maybe until it boots?

Oh, those are the ones I was trying to extract from the image! Do you think you could them share them, perhaps via Google drive?
It would be perfect if we could find the .bin image somewhere, I wonder where that could be

Thank you! The text editor actually works great, perhaps we could add that to the SCL! If you search for hidden/system files on the drive, do you see the CE .bin image it's supposed to boot?

Sorry I’ll work on that. I just quickly uploaded it before I went into work. I’ll get the rest tomorrow

There's no .bin file - I think that's because the device didn't fully boot with CE 5.0. It's only the files in the screenshot

I got Platform Builder 5 to work, once I've compiled everything, I think I should make x86 wceload and say, WordPad, available right here, for anyone else who wants to download it!
