So I need help figuring out the differences between these five MIPS architectures.
Is there a good article I can read?

Hm. What level of detail are you looking to get?

The MIPS Wikipedia article is fine for top level (here)

I do recall reading a very low level technical discussion of the differences between them a few years ago...if that's what you're looking for I'll dig around for it.

Follow up.
I need to make cabs for MIPSII and MIPSIV builds of a program. For ce 4.x
In the drop-down cpu architecture list in cabmaker, which mips versions should I use for them ?

Also @C:Amie I know we haven’t finished the cabmaker project yet. I just want to know the mips thing so we can eventually get to that and that I’m building the correct cabs in cabmaker
