Okay, for the purposes of testing, I defined the following:
The C:Amie VBCE.cab you uploaded @2023-01-23 "20230123v0"
The C:Amie VBCE.cab you uploaded @2023-01-25 8:35 AM my time is "20230125v1"
The C:Amie VBCE.cab you uploaded @2023-01-25 10:21 AM my time is "20230125v2"

Category WORKING:
4-After POQucik/VBCE2.0 cocktail (Cocktail only works with 20230123v0 and 20230125v1. DOES NOT work with 20230125v2)

Category NOTWORKING:
1-Stock
2-After POQuick (no other cab installed)
3-After VBCE2.0 20230125v1 (no other cab installed)
5-After VBCE2.0 20230125v2 (no other cab installed)

There must have been some sort of error because the cab instantly disappears when I tried to install it.
The cab flashes on the screen and then disappears.
(FYI I did a hard reset before trying)

You still have the .reg files right? I deleted to save server space

I’ll check when I get home (ten hours shift woot)
That said usually I when the cab installers act this way it’s missing a prerequisite in the installer check maybe? Or the cpu check?

OK, have 'fun' at work.

If it doesn't work though, I might cry

I've tested the 2.11 x86em and in the emulator and that works fine.

I'm getting "xyz.pvb requires Visual Basic for Windows CE runtime version 0.1 (pvb.exe), which is not installed" for .pvb files, and PoQuick Money gives me "An error was countered while running this program."

We're not dealing with .PVB with the 2.0 runtime, that is the 1.0 runtime. I'm not putting ADO in the runtime either as it is not part of VBCE. So if the app wants ADO, it will error.

Something like https://www.hpcfactor.com/scl/294/Handheld_Solution_-_Thomas_Graupner/Advanced_Timer/version_1.50

Okay I have a weird cocktail that worked
I dunk for bananas:
install this first
https://www.hpcfactor.com/scl/64/Mastersoft/PoQuick_Money_Professional/version_3.0
Then install this x86 full runtime
https://www.hpcfactor.com/scl/327/Microsoft_Corporation/Visual_Basic_CE_Runtimes

Now I can get vb programs running ! Well some of them.
Also, Citgo’s programs work now too

Edit: so theoretically if I extract both of those cab files we can combine them into one and create an x86 runtime that should work. (Obviously excluding the vb program itself )

To be clear, did you follow these exact instructions?
Also can you test vb programs that you can see I marked compatible on the t5540?
You can test C:Amie’s linked one too
We need to both test the same program for consistency otherwise this is a wasted effort.

That SCL link is dead, use the CAB I attached a few posts back for now.

Once we get it working, it'll be moved to https://www.hpcfactor.com/scl/1982/Microsoft_Corporation/Visual_Basic_CE_2.0_Runtime

and the minimal version at
https://www.hpcfactor.com/scl/1983/Microsoft_Corporation/Visual_Basic_CE_2.0_Runtime_Core

Sorry I just wanted to make sure we’re all on the same page testing the same way.

And I’ll make sure I test that advanced timer app you linked too so we all have the same program

:/

It actually "installs" this time and completes, but .vb files don't open still (but the .vb icons show up as .vb icons and not as unassociated icons)
