Are you sure that the PPC dll's will work on HPC2000 without AYG or modding?

Yes because this runtime did allow me to open pocketc programs that install via a cab file
But the registry wouldn’t let me open an .app file that wasn’t installed via a cab
So there’s something wrong with how it associates the registry in the cab install i made

Installs successfully, but doesn't associate nor launch.
Can you try and use this cab I made (extract it, use the same file directory settings/shortcut settings). But then use your registry settings?
I have to run to work, but one of these worked in that I can execute pocketc programs that install via cab just not the raw .app files if you manually download them

Can you dump the registry please.

Where should the files be placed according to other installers?

Here's the registry dump
I believe it goes into program files/pocketc runtime
it's strange because your cab doesn't execute on the device, but mine do even though it doesn't "associate"
did you use the ppc x86 files?

Wait, my CAB wouldn't run at all, it just exited? Did it not copy 3 files into \Program Files\Orbworks\PocketC?

hummm. mine seems to have worked, but for some reason the registry has written slightly corrupted

Hand edit
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\pktc_appfile\Shell\Open\Command]
\"\\Program Files\\Orbworks\\PocketC\\pcshell.exe\" %1

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\pktc_appfile\DefaultIcon]
\"\\Program Files\\Orbworks\\PocketC\\pcshell.exe\",-112

to

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\pktc_appfile\Shell\Open\Command]
"\\Program Files\\Orbworks\\PocketC\\pcshell.exe" %1

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\pktc_appfile\DefaultIcon]
"\\Program Files\\Orbworks\\PocketC\\pcshell.exe",-112

See if mine starts working

It did the first time it just wouldn’t let me execute them. Which didnt make sense to me. I think something happened the second time. I probably rushed and didn’t do something right.
Let’s table this until I can get more information.
I’ll experiment with my cabs and yours and detail what works and doesn’t
And I’ll do .reg for each configuration

I tried your registry tricks but no avail, still doesn't work.
The exes don't open.
So, I copied the files from my cab to your directory that your cab installs to, and updated the registry settings to use "pcshellv2" instead of pcshell and it comes up with an hourglass like it's thinking but doesn't open

Okay, we'll come back to this once I've finished on the SCL mods.
