Casio Cassiopeia 5051

I bought an Ebay this device in very good condition.
However, the installation CD is not present.
This device is compatible from WIndows 95 to windows 2000 as stated on the box.
I have now contacted the seller to tell him that in the description, it was not stated that the CD, USB cable and manual were missing.
Now I have two options: return and refund, or find the CD online.
The USB cable I have many and I've seen that it works.
The manual in Italian I should look for it on the internet.
I did an internet search without success. Can anyone help me find the installation CD and the manual in Italian?

That is more commonly known as the EM-500. It is essentially a Cassiopeia E-125 with half the memory.

If you don’t mind me asking, what did you need the install CD for?
Since it’s PocketPC 2000,

On a computer running 98,2000,or XP and you can sync as normal.

It is used to make Windows 95 recognize the device. If I connect it, it appears unknown device and asks me for the drivers.
I need the drivers to make windows recognize the device and synchronize it with the PC

I apologize. I forgot that usb sync can require individual drivers. I understand now. That’s my fault.

I’d try looking for usb install cds for some of the other Cassiopeia PocketPC 2000 devices. Maybe that will help ?

Yes, I forgot about this detail.
In fact, in the manual that I downloaded it is specified that the use of USB is only from Windows 98 onwards. For windows 95 you need a Serial or IrDA.
Can the Serial cable be retrieved on the internet? (specify the booklet; it must have 9 pins, even 25 pins but you need an adapter)

But even if I buy the cable, it will always ask me for the Drivers, windows.
I had an Epson stylus color 600 printer with the Serial cable. When I connected it to the PC, the first time I always had to install the drivers.
So it would be useless to look for and buy the Serial cable if I don't have the drivers...

Anyway, the support you've found is completely different from mine.

Well, I thought- someone correct me if I’m wrong - serial was universal. For example, to sync my NEC MobilePro 700 running Windows CE 2.0 I didn’t have to install any drivers. Granted I used a VM running Windows 2000, but I was under the impression only an ActiveSync install is sufficient. Of which there are guides to install ActiveSync 3.8 on Windows 95. Obviously the most optimal would be trying Windows 2000 or 98 to see if you can get the usb drivers working.
For that unfortunately I don’t have an answer to where to find those usb drivers

I think I will give up and return the item.
I was thinking, at this point, I found this device, Casio Cassiopeia PV-S400 Plus Pocket 4MB Organizer, being even older maybe it comes with Serial cable and not USB. What can you tell me?
There are some for sale, even new never used, still sealed.

I don’t know anything about that but I agree with you. I’d return and focus on something that will actually connect to the computer you want it to be for. Plus you’re in the right because they didn’t include something they promised

Windows CE serial connections are just driverless PPP lines. As long as TCP/IP and DUN 1.4 are installed under Windows 95, it will work. You only need an inf for USB because it sets up a virtual COM port so that it can be seen as a local device.

I requested a return and refund anyway.
On ebay it was written that it was complete with accessories. But is not so.
So I return the device and receive a refund.
