Did it really work?

I thought it worked at first on my Jornada 720, but it Alreader2 only loads the title page of every epub I've tried: every book is just one page long?!

Unless someone knows an easy fix, I'm content just to continue using calibre to convert to pdb. I have GAPI and redgear installed.

I mean, yeah, alreader2 works fine for me. Opens whatever epub and shows all the pages.

On the other hand- if you have a method that works with your calibre conversion, why change it?

Because I'm curious what's different about the systems Alreader2 works properly on. What Win CE version /CPU arch do you have?

Fair enough. I have confirmed that it works on:

MP900c (ARM) running CE.NET 4.2
Sigmarion 3 (ARM) running CE.NET 4.1
Jornada 720 (ARM) running HPC2000

Note: I'm using the "Alreader ARM CENET.cab" version on all three systems.

Can you find me a sample public domain ePub that isn't working for you, and I can test on my devices?
I want to make sure we're using the same "Control", so to speak

Torch,

As far as I know, no epubs load at all in the version in the SCL marked "CE3". But the CE.net one loads on jornada and epubs work.

You can try The Warden by Anthony Trollope from Gutenberg.

Edit: I have the non-.NET version. I have been avoiding .NET, fearing more version hell. Guess there's no escape now. Doh! Err, wait... CE NET is another version of Windows CE? Such confusing nomenclature.....

Torch,

As far as I know, no epubs load at all in the version in the SCL marked "CE3". But the CE.net one loads on jornada and epubs work.

I understand, so the only other device I can test AlReader on is CE3.0 MIPS on my HPC2000 MobilePro 790.

This one works for me on my MobilePro 900 running CE 4.2. The epub you mentioned worked for me.

Also, what @thenzero is mentioning - please try the CE.NET cab. I think there may be an error on how it's displayed in the SCL. We don't believe that cab requires CE.net. It may be an additional version of AlReader that has the epub feature enabled and still working on CE3.0 (HPC2000).

^If the CE.net cab is working on CE3.0, we really need to fix the SCL so it's not confusing

That was 100% intentional on the part of Microsoft. They were selling .NET hard at the time.
