When you're writing Handheld PC community content, you need to show your readers what you're saying in a way which makes it relevant. Straight out of the reviewers tool kit comes the Developer One Inc. ScreenSnap 4.0 screenshot creation and image viewer utility.

John Ottini turns the camera back around on itself, and has a look at the application that makes his, and may other reviews possible.

Read the review and have your say here on the forums.

Oh if Devone would release Codewallet and Autograph as unsupported freeware I'd be floating on clouds for weeks.

I thank you DevOne for free Screensnap and hope for more to come.

I'm sure that H/PC users with Sh3&4 and MIPS processors might be real happy, but I'm not sure that an ARMS (H/PC version) was ever released?

I suggest that if enough H/PC owners zap off an email to DeveloperOne, perhaps they may consider your requests to turn there old H/PC software into unsupported freeware... who knows?...guess it's worth a shot!

John,
Nice review

"Here is a direct link to download" is sorta zen-like in its lack of linkage

Thanks Chiark!

I could have sworn that the direct link was in the original review document I sent to Chris?

Web editorial 101, never link out of your document mid way through (or even before the very very end) - it encourages people to stop reading.
I modified the doc (*slaps wrist*) and removed the line.

Well, I emailed and asked them nicely to consider releasing HPC codewallet and HPC autograph as unsupported freeware. It would be great if they did.

Tak,

When I sat down to create the post graphic, I thought to myself - 'need to get away from the hp and NEC devices'

So I used the Sig II (an NEC device)

I believe she's called Kimura

Question?

I noticed in the screen shot on the home page that the screen cap utility was minimized to just in the task bar... how do you do that???

Thanks!

As far as I know that's not possible, without using a bit of creative graphic license (such as Chris has done) and removing the minimized ScreenSnap icon/button along the bottom of the screen for esthetic purposes.

Unless Chris has a bit of magic up his sleeve.

lol, I didn't notice that.
The screen shot was a splice and dice of two images, my original one has modified icons and wanted to maintain the hpc2000 ones on the image. So I took the left half of one screenshot which didn't have snap 4 running and the right from another.

Sorry if that caused any confusion, I tend to perform odd edits like that all of the time
