| are there any easy to follow guide on how to install Linux on an H/pc? i have been going all over the web following links and downloading different bootloaders and kernals and have not really gotten anywhere. thanks.

| Jornada 660. i have a 32 MB CF, CF card reader, and High speed internet. Desktop running XP SP II

| Sorry, this is not exactly my cup of tea, however did you try looking up Jornada 660 Linux Distribution on a search engine?

| Hopefully you have Linux installed on your pc. You need to partition the cf to have at least a 5mb FAT partition, and the rest to be ext2. Then untar the jlime distro to your ext2 partition, and a kernel, initrd, and launcher into the FAT. And make sure that the launcher's configuration file is correct. The CF card should be mounted as card 1 on the system, not 2. Only then will the launcher work. | |
