O.K bought a 320lx of Ebay for 25£ !!!

What im looking for is some software for the Machine

I dont have enough money to purchase a laptop
and though i'd have a look at one of these.

It all seems fairly good but is there any other software
available for the machine??

And is there anywhere you can get a modem and
a network card for it?

I know its an old machine so these might not be available

You didn't say which OS the device is running. The 320 can run 1.00 and 2.00. Big difference in Software availability & compatible hardware.

Try checking out the HCL. If you ever have a compatibility question, try going there first. As far as software, google search, or check out some download sites. 1.0 software is slim, but I did find a site devoted to it. If I find it I will post.

You can get 56K PCMCIA modems off of eBay for peanuts:

I have never tried a CF modem under CE1 personally. I don't forsee any issue there.
(I was assuming that you are UK:NI here. I had a look on eBay Eire, and there wasn't anything there )

I know its probably stupid but i have Broadband Connected on
a Network of 2 Computers. Is there a capability for a Network Card
on this machine Im sure there isnt as it was made in 96

I've tried google for searches for software but witht he massive
2.5mb of space on my 320lx its difficult going

We created a Service Pack update for CE2 that adds networking to the device, all instructions are in downloads / support.
You can do wired and wireless, it's all in the HCL.

Any CE 2.00 SH3 application will work on the device, as well as 95% of CE1 applications.
CF cards can be used to suppliment the memory with extra storage and are cheap.

Personally I wouldn't try anything over 512 - personal upper limit not technical. I would certainly not try anything over 2GB.

I believe this is the wrong section for deals. I don't believe that a forum is the best place to buy things, as I have known ebay to be safer just in case something gets lost through the mail. (Yes, it does happen. A lot) No offense Crucify, as you would probably keep to your word. But ebay has that nice paypal protection program, just in case anything goes wrong. I am still a bit shaken up about my 512mb cf card never coming through the mail, what a problem that turned out to be. As far as the software, if all of it is legal, perhaps it could be hosted online for all?
