I have installed active sync 3.7.1 on a windows XP laptop. I have turned on the infrared port and when I select communications on the 620lx then remote networking . XP shows a wireless link to handheld at 115Kand the 620lx says connected. ON the laptop in MY Computer I get a Mobile device icon. However I cannot copy a small txt file to the device.

When I select active sync it just sits their spinning saying connecting…….

Is there any hope……..Help

Bill, to create a sync connection you don't use remote networking.

Start > Control Panel > Communications > Pc Connection > Change

Change the connection to Infrared Port and ok out of everything & back to the desktop.

Next line up the ports
Start > Programs > Communications > PC Link.

That'll initiate the sync connection.

Thank you, it worked. Next I shall tackle how to upgrade the CE2.0 to sp1 and how to load drivers for wirless internet.

Inofmration on both is in the CESD.
If you need help on installing, then take a look at the installation from host guide. Both the SP and Drivers will be installed the same way.
Specific device configuration you will need to look up in the WiFi NIC manual.
