Hello:
I need some help. I am using a Nokia 6225 connected via the generic IrDA to my Hp-720.
I establish the conncetion with no problem but when I try to use the explorer on the internet. It will not connect to any site and gives and error message like a 'connection to server cannot be ...'
Any help or directions will be appreciated.

PS. I use the same phone with Pocket PC (Hp-2215) with no problem.

Check in the "Internet Options" if the Proxy is checked. Usually it has to be unchecked, unless your connection is very special.

The Proxy is unchecked. I will like to add that I connect to the net via built in modem with no problem.

Thanks for any help.

ok, this is probably already checked, but in case you have not checked yet, make sure your PocketIE has its Auto-dial unchecked.

Have you tried specifying DNS servers in the Dial-up configuration?
Try accessing:
http://205.245.49.102/

If you can see the site at that address, then the issue is with DNS and not the actual connection.
You could also install the TCP/IP utility from Power Toys or vxUtil and check the IP configuration.

It is possible that it is trying to use the bt connection.
I see it sometimes when having both USB and lan enabled at once, it is unable to connect through to the internet until the usb / serial has been disabled. It continues to work when re-enabled.
