HPC:Factoids,

Greetings from The Republic.

As Chris posted on the front page, I've been at Mobius for the last week. Chris' description pretty much says it all on who was there and why. I'd encourage you to read the Mobius page on http://www.clintonfitch.com/mobius to get the full details.

I wanted to encourage all of you though to keep up the good work both here in the forums and in a broader sense of keeping the H/PC alive. Many, many people were complementary of the site at Mobius and more than one attendee told me they visited and found the site to be a great resource - both from a staff perspective and from a visitor perspective.

There are a lot of fans within the Windows Mobile community of the H/PC form factor. It isn't nearly as dead as we sometimes think it is.

Keep up the good work and keep on posting.

Long live the H/PC!

exactly.

now only the oem's (and yes, MS ) should realize there IS a market for hpc's.

MS could for example make a ppc compatibility mode for hpc's

I was the only one who actually had one there. Several though mentioned having 720s and MP780/900's.

That's the million dollar question. I think (use cautiously) that one or two may be members... I'm not sure though.

They irony of it all was that several people that I spoke to from Microsoft love the H/PC. They just marketed the thing so completely wrong and badly that it died.

Sigh....

Well, if these devices were cheaper when they were out, I believe more people would buy them... And maybe a market for them as well...
