| It has been a long time coming, and in the sprit of the British 'New Year Honours', Microsoft bring good news with the turning of the New Year.
Clinton Fitch has been an intrinsic member of the Windows CE community since 1998, and a keen advocate of the befits of Mobile technology. He has been writing for Mobile Devices for almost as long, watching the face of Mobile computing change unrecognisably as we have moved from Windows CE 2 through to Windows Mobile 5.0.
Honouring his contribution to the community, today we have received word that Clinton has been awarded one of the highest Microsoft accolades - a Most Valued Processional (MVP) certification in Mobile Devices.
The MVP places Clinton as an officially recognised leader in the field, and gives the Handheld PC Community an unrivalled advocate of our area of the Windows CE World.
Congratulations Clinton, it has been a long time coming!
All of us are stoked that you've been given this, heavens knows you deserve it. |

| Thanks Chris...
And thanks to all of you, especially those of you in this community. The Handheld PC users are the best and your undying love of this terrific platform is what got me started on this winding road to begin with.
Without you, there are no MVPs!

| Congrats on the gold sticker! Do you get a badge or anything?
It is always nice to be recognized for ones contributions, but it would be nicer if Microsoft put some of their oomph towards revitalizing the HPC Factor. There are a reason that IPAQ style PDA sales have hit a plateau, simply that they are suitable for how many people want to be able to work while out and about in the world. There are a lot of niche markets for mobile computing devices and they aren't being well served at the moment. Edited by Rocketman 2006-01-04 7:29 PM

| As usual, it took Microsoft forever to figure out what the folks in this community already knew.
Congrats Clinton - you certainly deserve the MVP recognition. |

| Congratulations!
Now you can convince people to use HPCs, and companies to make them, and they'll take you seriously! ...
Hey it's worth a try |

| Posted a long congratulatory message a couple days ago. Apparently, it didn't post successfully... odd. I'll repost if I can resurrect it. Not sure what happened. :+( *shrug* The site is still quite slow for me. Perhaps it timed out?
