it isn't dead do NOT use "save target as". copy the link into your browser's address bar, load it, and don't close the ads until you downloaded the zip. this works.

did it work?

Great!
On Safari (Apple) I couldn´t get it to work.
So I tried Opera: bingo!
Thanks a lot

Hello everybody!

I'm stuck at an earlier stage with my phenom express... having taken the main battery off the unit and removed the two tiny screws from each side, i can't separate it! is it glued?! is there any other solution than brute force? i'd rather not snap it...

not really: the first step is to remove the main battery (the big silver tube like thing in the first photo of the device). it's not mentioed again.

having taken it off, there's a couple of screws to undo, but then it looks like the two halves of the thing are glued together. i've tried to force them apart with a screw driver, but i think i was applying too much force for that to be the proper way of doing it!

just thought if someone else had managed it then they could share the secret with me!
thanks,
p.

well, no, they aren't glued together. i guess it's the same as with the jornadas.. don't use a screwdriver, just your hands. the trick is going in the right direction. also, did you remove all screws?

anyway 8th step describes it in details:

"The sides an d front o f the k eyboard (top half) w ere g rasped a s show n in the p ictu re above — thum b
an d little finger o n the lower h alf and the o ther three fingers o n the upper h alf o f the case.
Usin g the thum bs to h o ld dow n w ith some force o n the lower h alf o f the case, the k eyboard half w as
p ressed in slightly an d the to p half o f the case m oved u p w ith the o ther three fingers. (It was a lot
easier than it sounds.) It d idn’t take a lot o f force to d o this — I h a d to b e careful n o t to o v erd o it!
There a re some c a tch es on the m otherboard that this releases.
A slightly c lick w as h eard an d the top h alf (keyboard side) slid forward (up , in the p o sition its in as
shown in the p icture , above ."

(sorry for the lot of spaces, it got copied out of the pdf like this and i don't have the patience now to remove them )

Hi!

First of all, sorry for my bad english, I'm from Russia.
Few days ago I got a gift - LG Phenom Express h-220c.
It is work! There is no problems with it, but batteries...
It work only with power supply, main battery pack and backup battery are dead.
It was difficult, but I find where I can buy 3 IMR-18650 batteries (main) and 1 ML2430 battery (backup) in Russia.
So, I find your very-very old message about you have a manual for this device in PDF.
First of all I need Disassembly manual to open it and change backup battery.
If you have original user manual for it - it would be miracle!!!
Could you e-mail me this manual? Or upload it on some file hosting?

Best regards,
Michael.

Hmmm...top tip: read the rules before you post. This is a five year old thread you have bumped up.
